The 2009 Cayman Islands Triathlon re-cap PDF Print E-mail

The 2009 Cayman Islands Triathlon, sponsored by Scott’s Equipment, was held on November 29th with 3 events available:

1) Olympic distance - 1500-metre swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run. 
2) Sprint distance - 750 metre swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run.

3) 10k Run

Both individual and team entries were possible for the Olympic and Sprint distance events.

In the Olympic Distance, Marius Acker was the first man home with a time of 2:06:20 - Slightly slower than his 2008 time of 2:05:32.

Julie-Anne Pearson was first home in the Olympic Distance for the ladies, with a time of 2:34:58.
