Polly’s Race Checklist( ) Bike and wheels (equip needed - peddle wrench and Allen keys) § Gear bike into small front small back § Unloosen handle bars and flatten into frame § Remove seat still attached to seat stem, and detach drink bottle cages · In an Olympic distance race one bottle should be sufficient · There should be a cage on bike frame § Remove peddles · Left peddle – turn clockwise · Right peddle – turn anti clockwise § Place frame in box with big chain ring underneath lying flat § Remove back derailer § Insert fork spacers in frame § Wrap derailer, rings, and chain in a rag (parts are oily and sharp) § Deflate all tires and remove skewers
