The Cayman Islands Triathlon Association will conduct the second Build Up Race this Sunday November 1, 2009 at Governors Way and Public Beach.  Full race detail regarding the Build Up races and the Cayman Islands Triathlon grand finale on November 29, 2009 (sponsored by Scotts Equipment Ltd) can be found at www.triathlon.ky. 71 racing units (individuals or teams) competed in the first Build Up on October 18, 2009, a significant increase over all prior first Build Up races.

 
We ask that parents kindly restrain children and toddlers in and around the Transition area during the events.  Our concern is with the safety of the child, particularly near racing cyclists.
 
If you haven't already done so, on-line Pre-Registration for the build-ups remains open and is strongly encouraged. It will help simplify the process for you (and us!) on the day.
 
CITA will time the overall results on Sunday November 1, 2009, which will involve body marking before the race.  After the race, for the first time ever, we will eliminate the time consuming system of handing finishers a card with a finishing number.  Instead, we will implement a “chute” or position system of recording finishers.  The goal is to capture, record, and present finishing results more expeditiously than in the past.  Thanks for working with us as we fine tune this new system.
